The results of the survey reflect how the expectations and demands of sellers are changing both the real estate marketplace and the way agents deal with clients.
Survey highlights include:
- Sellers were more concerned with the selling price (92%) and the time it would take to sell their home (90%) than in recent years.
- The primary reasons for selling in 2006 stemmed from fundamental reasons such as the desire for a larger home (55%) or better location (20%), as in prior years.
- 92% of sellers used the Internet to research comparable prices and 46% used it to track current market conditions.
