REBS Online Privacy Policy

Effective December 27, 2013 (Last Revised: December 27, 2013)

The C.A.R. Business Products website (“Website”) is administered by Real Estate Business Services, LLC (“REBS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We have created this Privacy Policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy and so that you, as a visitor to the Website, will be aware of the kinds of information we may gather about you when you visit the Website, how we may use that information, whether we disclose it to anyone, and the choices you have with regard to our use of the information.

TYPES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information You Provide. Depending on how you use our Website, certain types of personal information may be generated and collected. For example, you may give us your name or email address when you complete a registration screen, respond to a questionnaire or submit an e-mail to us.  We use personal information that you provide to us primarily to fulfill the stated objective for which the information was requested or collected (e.g., if the information is provided as a result of you e-mailing us, we will use the information provided, such as the e-mail address, to respond to you).

Information Generated by Your Use of the Website. Another type of information that may be generated and collected when you use our Website is information that we consider nonpersonal in nature. This information relates primarily to how you use the Website. For example, we may collect information about which pages of the Website you visit, how often you visit them and the IP addresses from which you access the Website. We use this information primarily to make our Website more useful to visitors. We may also share this information with third parties, such as advertisers, to demonstrate the amount and character of traffic on our Website.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Orders and Purchases. When you purchase a product or service from the Website, the information collected is primarily used to process your order. It may also be used to keep track of the amount and types of purchases being made through the Website. We may use your email address or mailing address to send you information regarding updates to the products you purchased or new products that may be of interest to you.

“Contact Us” Feature. Like most sites on the Internet, our Website contains a feature that allows you to contact us with your comments or questions. Not surprisingly, we call this feature "Contact Us.” To use this feature, there is an icon at the bottom of each page on our Website onto which you can click. When you click this icon, you will be sent to another page which will provide you with information where you can contact us by phone, mail or e-mail.  You may be asked to provide us with certain information, such as your first and last name, email address, phone and fax number and your address, including your city and state. The information collected through the "Contact Us" feature is primarily used to investigate and respond to your inquiries.

Surveys. From time to time we may create and use surveys on our Website. Most surveys are simple "click box" surveys where you click a box on the screen to indicate your response. However, from time to time we may ask you for your name, email address or demographic information. If a survey does ask you this information, we will use the information primarily to complete the survey and compile statistics.

Contests. From time to time we may run contests on our Website. If our contests require you to provide personal or demographic information, we will use this information primarily to complete the contest.

Public Forums. From time to time we may provide chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or news groups on our Website. While we feel these features will be helpful to the users of our Website, we will not monitor them regularly nor will we be responsible for what is said on or done as result of them. Please remember that any information you disclose on these types of features will be accessible to the public and you should exercise caution prior to disclosing any personal information on these features.

Use of Cookies. A cookie is a data file that is created and stored on your computer’s hard drive when you visit a website. Cookie technology is used by most major websites and is considered an industry standard for the Internet. Our Website uses cookie technology to verify user information and to make our Website easier and more convenient to use. For example, a cookie may save the registration information, passwords, purchases or preferences that you create when using the Website so you don’t have to re-enter this information.

Most Internet browsers are initially set to accept cookies. If you prefer, you may set your browser so that it refuses cookies or alerts you when cookies are being created on your hard drive. You should be aware that by not accepting cookies, you may impair your ability to use certain shopping or password protected areas of the Website.

DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

Other Products and Services. Although we generally only collect and use the information to fulfill the stated objective for which the information was requested or collected, we may also provide the information to our parent company and our subsidiaries so that they may send you information regarding other products or services that may be valuable or interesting to you.

Third Parties. Personal information that you provide to us when you purchase products or services on our Website may be collected by our third-party partners. Such information is only used by our third-party partners to verify your purchase and to facilitate your use of the product or service. You should be aware that by purchasing a product or service on our Website, your personal information may be automatically sent to a third party regardless of whether or not your web browser is sending our Website a “do not track” signal. Except for the purposes stated in this paragraph, we do not allow third parties to collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use our Website.

Required by Law. We may disclose information provided by you if we are legally required to do so, such as by court order or subpoena.
